Right around the time Yosuke Aizawa was at the height of his powers (or maybe a year or two later), he did a few collabs with Adidas. Now, Adidas collaborations have a history of going either way, but this one? smack in the middle of the road. The white mountaineering design ethos collided with the Adidas juggernauts athleisure wing in what ended up being standard street wear with cool design. This piece is basically your Oasis' fan's track jacket mocked up like a WM original. The jersey has a sheen to it and it has a double zipper with a sweatshirt type collar, but it's ultimately Manchester brought into the 21st century by way of Japan. Chest pocket, snap button pockets at waist, etc. It even features the white mountaineering triangle tag, embossed with a trefoil und die drei streifen, matching the three ticks at the wrist of either sleeve. The varieties of blue-gray make it easy to wear, perfect for a nice spring or fall day. Unfortunately for me, this one's catch and release. Purchased from The Auction Site That Must Not Be Named, I was disappointed to find it wasn't more technical. As it stands, I'm overfull on light jackets so this one didn't spark the joy I thought it would. Maybe it will for you. Good for a standard L.
