Here is "Pedro," the official, or unofficial (?), mascot of South of the Border in Hamer, SC! For those who have traveled to this tourist mecca off the I-95 Southeastern corridor, he likely needs no introduction. Here is a ceramic bank in excellent condition that came from one of the shops there back in the 90s. No box. The only flaw is the rubber stopper on the bottom has a crack, shown in photos. Otherwise, he's perfect! Cute as intended, as a piggy bank, or for decor in a thematic room or bar.
Photos 1-4, Pedro, rotated
Photos 5-6, base, and crack in rubber stopper
Photo 7, close-up of coin slot on back
Photo 8, overhead view
Photos 9-10, close-ups of lettering on sombrero & of Pedro's face
Photos 11-13, approx. measurements: 8.5" x 2.75" x 3"
Photos 14-15, base shown with stopper removed & stopper (Made Taiwan - ironic?)
Photo 16, Pedro himself! He is everywhere there, but this one looks most like the bank!
