moviecloset @gettumgirl oh my Aunt was a caterer for the motion picture industry for 36 years. So as I said before I grew up helping her back in the 70's, 80's, and 90s!i. i switched to costumes in 2009! The food end of making movie is tuff! Costuming is a passion and delight for me!

gettumgirl That's really great that you're doing what you love!!!....if you look towards the bottom of my closet you will see my daughter in her acting world...she's not well these days as I know God will never take us through what he can't use for his purpose😃...I'm from NY and I use to go to the Cosby Set...and hid in the bathroom..and actually met some pretty cool people...including the cast of the Cosby Show.....when you get a moment..check my baby out in my closet😃

moviecloset @pamlaleyan I'm not a clothing designer but rather a costumer! I am on set with the actors and make sure the wishes of the designers are carried out while filming! (Example: collar up, 5 buttons buttoned up on blouse, hat on, tie is straight extra)

The designers create the looks of the stars and I simply carry out their wishes on set! I'm the costumer that makes sure the tie isn't crooked in the first scene and then missing in the next scene minutes later! Or the actress doesn't t forget her ring when the day before she had it on! 😍

So i am thinking there are several different people working for the costumes in the same movie? Meaning some do design and sew, create and someone who go shopping premade clothings, and people like you for dressing actors correctly? Decided to take a break as the 12 hour days were killing me! I actually worked with a makeup artist who was on "Catching Fire". She had a positive experience! fabulousfindz4u If you ever need any authentic vintage 60/70/80's yards of fabric let me know. My mom was a professional sewer and although she still sews at 82 has yards and yards of these fabrics just sitting in boxes (taken care of). I was down visiting them a couple of months ago and mentioned to her she needed to contact someone who works in costumes to let this stuff go!

moviecloset @alwaysamanda Hi, in my line of work you don't really meet or introduce your self to the actors. But rather they are on set to do their craft and I have a job to do! Some actors of course you hold in higher regards than others. ( like I love Denzel Washington) Yes Andrew Lincoln is wonderful, very serious when on set, intense and gets very focused and zoned out! Off set he is goofy and very personal! I really enjoyed working with him! T-dog was my all time favorite on WD!

freeasabird58 How exciting I’ve always wanted to use my talent for making costumes. My kids always made 1st place in costumes. My E.T. Costume was a big hit in the 80’s even my grandkids have used it and still winning. Lifelike costumes are the best. Wish I had used talent like you decided to use yours.
