Hi Deborah! So happy to meet you :) I read your story and you are now my personal hero. I can't even begin to imagine going through all the trauma's you've had to deal with and in such a short amount of time. I lost my mom to brain cancer (it was a secondary cancer for her, which from what I understand is different) a little over a year ago. I'll be thinking of you often 😘❤️❤️

Heck yess ! 🗯❣💣❗️💃🏻👯😘 kill em with kindness! I honestly just ignore horribly rude people now if I'm in the middle of physical issues myself or kind of emotionally traumatic things in general from a crazy family so when I get obnoxious little comments asking "has this even sent yet?" "Helloooo are you gonna respond?" "Hello. You haven't responded to.." And I want to slap them and I can't help it I've let many cancel because I refuse to engage with that attitude - love this post!

That and the long erratic hours prompted me to leave that line of work & over 10 years later, here I am again back at those same challenges, but this time online. Love this!!! Yes, it is aggravating when people don't respect your time. I too strive to create beautiful photos, interesting descriptions and answer comments. Recently I had a lady Bundle three dresses and comment on one of them "willing to lower?" It was an older listing, so I did and waited for a response and nothing. With the available discounts I had she was already getting a good deal. I may make a similar listing; thank you for the inspiration!

I just read this posting. I am a relatively new Posher. Not to get into my medical drama, but I am awaiting a Kidney Transplant, cannot collect disability for complicated reasons, and joined Poshmark to try to sell off my huge closet of high quality NWT clothing. I have been so shocked and offended by some of the offers and interactions I have had. I felt so validated by reading this. Thanks.

OMG, that buyer takes the cake as the most horrible, ignorant I have ever heard of. I have had people offer me $30 for a $350 NWT designer handbag. Then when I countered instead of declining, got all nasty. I have also very unfortunately purchased items from very well known, active, Suggested Users and had them turn out to be outright counterfeit merchandise. Hard to make enemies of them.

@brn2run once you accept the purchase, unfortunately there is nothing you can do. If the seller didn't realize it was fake, it's one thing, but if they are purposely trying to deceive, that's another. That's why we pay the 20% commission for Posh support/protection. If your purchase was over $500 it automatically goes to PM to verify authenticity. Anyway, sorry you got duped by someone🙁

I love this. I too have had a similar journey to yours, I've adopted a little girl and recently lost the love of my life in a very tragic traumatic accident. A friend of mine recommended Posh Mark to take my mind off of things. I love the interactions, packaging my items for customers and making a little money. I have realized that some are unkind with their words, lowball offers and criticizing my pricing. I have made myself very vulnerable. But I'm brave and so are you!!

Wow! I read your bio. Where are you being treated? I’ve recently been on Humira weekly injections & was told to stop immediately due to my brain MRI showing 3 white spots. I’m currently doing the “wait & see” game which is nerve racking. I go back to Cleveland Clinic for another MRI in Feb to see if there has been any changes.

Well said! I pray the docs are able to do this surgery for you with no loss of function at all. You're an impressive woman! I also lost everything due to sickness though of a different nature. Just know that you are important & have my prayers daily for you. I wish I could afford something in your closet as I understand when people speak their sympathies but don't put their money where their mouth is. The most I can do is share so I will do so as often as possible. Best of everything to you.

I’m sorry to hear you’ve faced health challenges as well. I always say my tumor is my greatest teacher. Hi just read your story and want to share this. I was in the same boat and Jesus healed me. Miracles do happen. About 10 years ago i was diagnosed with brain tumor on my pituitary. MRIs every 6 months showed growth. I was starting college i had no money for surgery and didnt have insurance. They told me it was pushing on my optical nerver and i would go blind if it wasnt removed. I was terrified and i was praying and had people praying for me...

Hi Deborah, My 12 brother had the same kind of tumor in the exact same place as yours.I’m so grateful to say, that he has been in remission for almost 12yrs now!It left a mark on all our lives but we are better for it.Andrew now owns a landscaping design company & he lives everyday with no regrets.All this to say,Stay strong!Everything happens for a reason.You have a purpose in this world.I pray for strength for you & your family & for clarity & wisdom for your doctors💪❤️

@dresspink I am glad your brother is doing ok! Unfortunately there is no such thing as ‘remission’ for me as brain stem meningiomas can’t ever be entirely removed by any surgeon due to its critical location. I will have to monitor this tumor for the rest of my life. My surgery in a few weeks is just to debulk as much as they can safely. Thanks for your supportive words🙏🏻

@iamwarrior yes, i said it wrong. He isn’t in “remission’ because part of the tumor is still wrapped around the stem of his brain. I thought it had the same name as yours but maybe not. So yea, he still has constant MRI’s and doctors appointments But he is able to live a normal live for the most part. I wish the same for you too eventually. I’m sorry, Didn’t mean to make this about him...just wanted to let you know there is hope. You’ll be in my thoughts

@dresspink there is a lot of misunderstanding about the type of tumor I have. But even more important than ‘type’ is location. My tumor could not be on a worst place in my body. Every vital nerve is on the brain stem & b/c I’ve been able to ‘function’ many dismiss its severity/risks. It’s been stable for two yrs but has started to grow which is dangerous, yet so it surgery😔

A very dear friend of mine has the same thing. He did have his surgery and thank God everything went well! He's healing up great. With that said, it is a very scary surgery and lots of risk but also many many have had great positive outcomes. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hello. I found your closet while flipping through another closet and I’m so glad I did. I was diagnosed with a meningioma last June after a scary incident that left me without speech for 12 hours. My next MRI is later this month and so far I have been advised to just keep an eye on it. If only it were that easy. I hope all goes well with your surgery. You will be in my thoughts. ❤️

Since mine is on my brainstem, it’s especially critical & my surgery next month is high risk but I’m trusting God for a good outcome. I know this diagnosis is scary & the unknown terrifying. @iamwarrior thank you for the well wishes! my disease is chronic as well. I was diagnosed twice as a kid and then just a few years ago. I've had more than ten surgeries including two limb salvage procedures, and gave a bunch of bionic parts now too. the pain is, ugh, well, painful :( unfortunately know this disease isn't so cut-and-dry for everyone but no matter where we are in the fight, we're ALL survivors 💛 thinking of you!!

I just read your post and I want you to know that you are in my prayers. I pray that God guides the hands of your surgeon and that angels surround you during your surgery and throughout your recovery.
I worked for Antigenics in cancer research for a few years and while I know how delicate your operation is I have also seen tumors successfully removed from the brain stem when they were given little to no chance of survival.

A year and a half ago I was septic and dying due to an incompetent surgeon who botched a simple operation. Most surgeons don't want to fix other surgeons mistakes but God stepped in and we found one of the top Liver Specialist and bile-duct surgeons in the world who saved my life after a ten hour operation. I spent ten days in ICU and a total of thirty days in the hospital. Not only did I survive I thrived.

I could have died, lost my limbs, been confined to a wheelchair or attached to a machine. Yes I have to see my surgeon for the rest of my life but I will watch my son grow up into a man, I can play basketball with my son, hike, surf, dance etc..
I felt my angels around me as I recovered, it gave peace and let me know I would be ok. I hope you feel your angels as they watch over and heal you.

I will be praying for your recovery and the shrinking of your remaining tumor. I am a cancer survivor and my orange sized tumor went away with chemo. They did not remove it. Your story & strength is amazing for that Im going to try even harder. Oh Honey, God Bless You. My Story has some parallels with yours so i certainly empathize with you and your situation. We lost rendition in a multi vortex F5 Tornado including two discs in my lower back and damage to my mouth/teeth, etc. Lost my job bc i had no car to commute the hour each way to work so lost my insurance. She is also seeing double and has restricted movement on one side. Her surgery was 3 years ago this summer, when she was just 18. I too have several serious, chronic conditions and was paralyzed for 4 months in April 2014. It happened from a vaccine I received. I am now completely disabled and on disability. . What happened to me 4 years ago has now triggered many different conditions and I’m now unable to drive due to vision loss.

@jenr269 hi, I had chronic headaches which I had attributed to chronic stress, medication side effects, depression & hormonal changes. My doc said she wasn’t sure of the cause so felt a CT scan would rule out anything major. Neurologically I had no symptoms so was shocked when I got my diagnosis. After my first head CT, a MRI then followed to confirm my brain tumor.

Don't ever stop doing what you're doing! You're A BOSS! When our bodies are weak and wasting away on the outside, we can be renewed spiritually from day to day. The spirit is eager but the flesh is weak. I am thankful for each breath of each day, I live on oxygen life support to breathe and also POSH for medical! We never know what others are going through. Prayer sustains us and helps us to keep pushing. Better days are coming!

I pray for you and appreciate your sharing my items and I will always share your, but I can’t afford your closet prices, being a single mom artist trying to pay the bills. I have two friends locally with brain issues. One is stage four. The other has no cancer but a problem that causes fluid to build up in her skull. She has had to have a device implanted that helps the fluid to drain but these devices need to be changed every year or two. God bless you. I will pray for a miracle.

Hello,
My sister had a similar diagnosis: inoperable tumor at the base of her brain by carotid artery & vagus nerve. I just feel like I should mention it to you. She lived at a high elevation in the mountains and they were monitoring her growth rate, but when they moved for work to the east coast at sea level, the growth completely halted! After the fact, a Dr mentioned a correlation to living at a high altitudes and tumor growth.) I hope this is helpful in any way and stay strong.)

thank you for sharing. I fell when I was 6, & Was told I had a concussion, a 22cm open skull fracture. The last 8 years I have had very stressful times(divorce, custody battle, my mom died),my migraines got worse. After many tests was dx w/ partial parietal temporal seizure disorder. Headaches are gone but it has been a journey & Ifind peace in knowing that by all accounts I should be dead. I started poshing bc of medical bills & you are an inspiration. Thank you!

It is my understanding from reading through these groups that a claim can be opened with Poshmark due to counterfeit item even if the item has been accepted/auto accepted. You will be in my prayers for surgery. My nine year old warrior princess is healing from her surgery a week ago. She is diagnosed with osteosarcoma. They took out her humerus bone and replaced it with a prosthesis. She will have another surgery in 10 weeks to clear her lungs from the spread of cancer that’s there as well. To say this has been hard for me is an understatement. My heart goes out to you.

Thank you for sharing your story. It really hit home with me. Though I was not diagnosed with a brain tumor I have been diagnosed with a rare autoimmune brain disease of which there is currently no cure. I’m glad you were diagnosed and are receiving treatment. I had been in and out of hospitals for over 20 years until I got the correct diagnosis. Please know you are not alone. There are many of us out here who wish you all the best. Take care of yourself.
