My father passed from a brain stem tumor in 1995, and I am amazed at the medical advances in this field. They couldn’t even operate on brain stem tumors back then. myblueskydays @iamwarrior @myblueskydays and it destroyed me not a part wasn’t bruised, fractured, sprained, teeth cracked too falling in a bathroom between the bowl n the tub..chest wall injuries leading to pneumonia, bounces twice from an Er..then woken with my dogs on top of me asked what brought me back! Four long stays! They would release me and I’d be back in 24-48 hours with a 105...I hate this story...yet sharing it I feel like it’s nothing compared to what you are going through...

iamwarrior @designerchic03 thanks Brooke. I live in northeast Ohio. I had my brain surgery at UPMC in Pittsburgh, which is about 2 hrs from us. I whole heartedly believe/support in animal rescue, so thank you for what you do. We have to travel w/ our dogs b/c one of our rescues is very skittish & terrified of everyone but my husband & I. Our eldest dog is on 7 meds + supplements so he needs TLC that can’t be provided by anyone else. But we love them!!

ameenoel Hi it was so random how I found your closet. I have stage 4 brain cancer too. It is rare that I find someone with a similar illness. I have undergone 2 brain surgeries. 6 weeks of radiation everyday and 24 rounds of chemo. Please keep in contact. I will be praying for you god speed sister. Hang in there. iamwarrior @ameenoel hi Amee. My prayers to you warrior sister. My brain tumor is a petroclival Meningioma (you can google it for details). It’s different than yours but very critical due to its location on my brain stem. There is no ‘remission’ for my type of tumor. It’s been my greatest teacher, making me appreciate my life and not to sweat the small stuff.

ameenoel @iamwarrior hi I’m so glad you messaged me! Ahhh it’s so difficult knowing there’s no remission. I’m so sorry, it’s a horrible thought. I have MRIs every 2 months for the rest of my life. I was give. Only 2 years after my last surgery. My tumor transformed from a grade 2 to a grade 4 in 2 months. A GBM The scariest thing I’ve ever witnessed. I have 4 small children. I pray daily to have the strength and courage to endure until the end. It’s been so painful.

ameenoel @iamwarrior The hardest thing for me to learn, was to trust in the Lord. I don’t know why or how or what His plan is for me. I don’t necessarily like it. I am just asked to trust in Him so that’s what I do. I pray His plan is to allow me to stay here on the earth with my family longer than what the doctors have intended for me. 💖

msistersm I wish you were my next door neighbor! We'd have a lot to console each other about . My love suffered a subderal hematoma (sp?) and could not be saved. Five months(7/3/19) after my devastating loss I was admitted for emergency spine surgery (4th ). Unfortunately my neuropathy (leg/foot) has regressed. My thoughts are DEFINITELY with you, so please have a better life and know that you are valued

mimisurfs @iamwarrior By sharing your story here, it must mean you have grown stronger after every surgery. The brain is a very complex organ, but can rewire itself, even after its been altered by illness, surgery, etc. Neuroplasticity has proven to heal our brains through rewiring of damaged pathways. I’m sure you are aware of this information. I just want to say that your story of faith and perseverance is very inspiring! gat8or I am a prayer warrior for you! April 2020, I found out that I have a rare type of brain tumor, craniopharyngioma. This can affect the function of the pituitary gland and other nearby structures in the brain (the optic nerve and carotid artery). Very similar to your experience. On June 16th I had transphenobal surgery, recovery has been extremely hard and daunting at times. God has blessed us both, have faith over fear for God is good!You’re in my thoughts and positive uplifting vibes! Stephanie

beachbumvb I also work with dog rescues, fostering and doing home checks. I foster failed a senior doxie that was almost starved and had almost every bone in her body broken at some point. The minute I brought her home my two younger doxies started taking care of her, so I knew she was ours. She made it 15 magical months full of nothing but love and devotion. ❤️
