I was using it for reading & apps for my baby😭 🥲 WiFi info here: • The iPad 3rd gen (A1458, Wi-Fi only) supports 802.11a/b/g/n on 2.4 GHz networks. • Most modern Wi-Fi routers are dual-band (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz) and often default to 5 GHz only for faster speeds. • Problem: iPad cannot see or connect to a 5 GHz network, because it only supports 2.4 GHz. 2. Wi-Fi security protocols • The iPad supports WEP, WPA, WPA2 (AES). • Many modern routers now default to WPA3 or mixed WPA2/WPA3. • If your router is set to WPA3-only, the iPad cannot connect, because its hardware and iOS are too old to handle WPA3. Make sure you have the right WiFi/can do whatever you plan first with a gen 3 before buying! 🫶🏻
