sassysarah My son was just asking me tonight what happens if they say they didnt get an item or it is damaged. I hate that you had a problem. I'm sorry. :( I'm wondering if it isn't a bad idea to start recording all transactions just to be on the safe side. Do you at least get your item back?

violetazure I had an experience recently with a dishonest seller that sold me an item with a ripped zipper pull/torn lining which wasn’t declared on her listing, she claimed that she didn’t ship it that way, insinuating I had done something to it! In the end Posh sided w/me but I ended up keeping it, because I genuinely wanted it, and had it repaired by a professional out of pocket 🙇🏻‍♀️.

violetazure I know this is from a buyers perspective but it left me thinking that I should be careful as a seller too. So I started to take videos of me packaging up the item and dropping it in the mail! Perhaps, if I purchase anything in the future, I should also video myself opening packages 🧐

violetazure @bubbles1971 I have a little stand on my phone and prop it up on a chair angled towards the floor and I package on the floor ...it’s VERY makeshift’s lol And no you either have to send it back for a full refund or keep the item at the price you purchased. I asked her if she would be willing to work with me and re-list it to me for a lower price because I really wanted to keep it but she was NOT helpful at all and had a ‘you’re lucky because I paid more than you did for it’ kind of attitude 🙄😢

violetazure @balldan Agreed! I don’t understand dishonesty and yea Posh was good about getting a resolution at least 🤷🏻‍♀️ For sure every transaction would be too much! I record the higher priced items because there’s more risk there.

sassysarah @poshnayeli I do record myself getting packages I buy on here. I've had an issue on ebay and here with me buying a box that is supposed to have a certain amount of items in it and it didnt. On here the listing was changed after purchase so now I screenshot the day I buy and record when I open. On ebay I tried fighting it and loss, so I record when I get packages from there too.

violetazure @sassysarah That’s a really good idea to screenshoot! I thought you couldn’t edit after something was purchased, tho that might be a new feature to Posh, perhaps due to bad things like that happening. It’s unfortunate that we have to go through these extra precautions but it’s better to be safe than sorry I suppose ☹️

sassysarah @poshnayeli if the item is a listing w/ multiple sizes etc they can edit bc the listing is still open if that makes sense. :( I bought a mystery bundle that was supposed to be guarentee to have 3-5 items in it. She boasted that most boxes have 8. Well when I received mine it has two items. Which mathematically I never would have done bc my profit margin was too low. When I went to say something the listing had been changed to 2-5. So now I just take the extra precaution.

sassysarah @poshnayeli On ebay I purchased one that was supposed to have 10 items and it had nine. She argued with me called me all kinds of names and said I got 10 and lied. I've been on Ebay for 15 years and have a perfect 100% rating. She was new with one rating. I dont think she did it maliciously but she refused to believe she could've made a mistake. 🙄😏

violetazure @herbiedog I’ve heard of ppl being blocked but don’t know how to do that! Her acct is - at madisonkacic - I purchased a little tan prada backpack from her closet, you can see our last interactions under that post, but the earlier conversation was in a private thread created by Posh’s dispute department. Her attitude was even worse there. I’m guessing because she was caught so was on the defensive. At least the bag was authentic which I confirmed after having it professionally authenticated.

I totally believe in if you make a mistake own up to it and try to make it right, you can usually tell if someone is trying to be shady or not.

sassysarah @poshnayeli that was the thing I kept trying to tell her that I wasn't being shady and that my feedback should've been enough to prove that. I was really nice about it too and she just started lashing out and calling me names. I eventually realized it wasnt worth the headache. In 15 years on ebay that is my first bad experience so that isnt too bad. Have a great Sunday. :)

herbiedog @sassysarah You know- they might have multiple listings, but once you purchase- the listing you bought is frozen as it was when you purchased. If it happens again, go to your purchases— and click on the listing you purchased ( not the original one you may have liked❤️) — It should read as it did when you purchased it— I think posh did that so listings couldn’t be changed after purchase. 😉

herbiedog @sassysarah 😉 I found an awesome wholesale seller— I purchased one mystery box— better than I expected— But it’s all new clothes & it’s tough for me to keep clothes dog hair free & even take pictures of them without getting them dirty, so I have yet to lust them — it’s @tracynagueshan ( not sure if it’s spelled right . Got 8 pieces for $20!!

believeinhope I have the experience that a buyer came to me 2 month later and she make a bundle and asked me for a free item because the last necklace she bought from me (was a boutique new necklace in a perfect condition)broke it. I told her if I buy something in a great condition and used it in a 2 month and broke it, is not seller fault. She was mad I didn’t buy her bundle. Scammers

That was the second time she went to my closet to the same story and ask for free item.

believeinhope @bubbles1971 yes. I blocked her with all my heart🧐🤔, because she caused me loosing a lot of money with that play. I don’t like to block no body, but because she did it twice I have to. That was in December 2017.

believeinhope @poshnayeli including other perspective, sometime is not seller or buyer fault. Sometime is USPS post service fault. Some of them not handle with care the package & came bent or broken like they was playing basketball with the box.🏀📦⛹️‍♀️⛹️‍♂️

violetazure @believeinhope Totally understand that, but when I received the package it was in great shape, Posh even asked me for detailed pictures of the box. Besides, there was NO WAY mishandling the box could have ripped the zipper off and torn the inside lining. The seller was intentionally deceitful and then unapologetic about it afterwards.

mindysclosets I had a buyer that bought two bundles of 50 items total apparently you can only add 40 per bundle max but I gave her half off and sent her everything and most was nwot or close to it. I know there wasn't anything I didn't mention at least cause I checked over each one very carefully cause I was worried if one small thing would of made her unhappy but she took pictures of the boxes all messed up as if I sent them that way and

mindysclosets then said everything was damaged or no good and in the Poshmark policies it says they can't do returns right now and anytime I've had a problem they've had me keep the item and still given me my money back or anyone who's complained they've done the same for so is that why these people do this? They expect that to happen you think? And did they start issuing returns now then? I hope so. But in the end Poshmark sided with me

mindysclosets cause it was pretty obvious they were lieing they weren't doing a very good job of it but I'm still upset that she even accused me of doing that. I would never try to do that to someone. If I find anything wrong I will let them know or just cancel the order because it can happen. No one's perfect.

Of course, I would never have sent something like that, but it was sent back to me and she got her money back. I washed the sweater and it came right out, so listed it again. Now, I videotape the packing.

allyoop23 @violetazure Oh I wish I had thought of your idea to video opening a purchase as a seller. I bought a wholesale mystery box to start my boutique that was a complete misrepresenttion but because it was a mystery, Posh took the wholesalers side & told me it's a risk I take. I lost $164 on a box of garbage I never listed because it was junk I would never try to resell to my buyers.

allyoop23 @violetazure I had screen shots of her original listing with the "examples" she posted of what I might get in my box. I knew they may not be exact, but at least expected the same quality. The stuff she sent me was full off loose threads, cheap materials, outdated like 2 years ago trends. It was awful. The seller got nasty in the comments & said I shouldnt have risked a mystery if I wasnt going to like whatever I got.

allyoop23 @violetazure so that taught me the true quality of her items. The sellers defense was to claim they were the same quality she represented & got snippy about how I took a month to decide. Thats right! I investigated her reviews, watched the items in her closet til I trusted her quality. But she fooled me. I had pics of damaged, low quality items but Posh just kept repeating its the risk I took with a mystery. No refund. 😢
