@juliekattke hey Julie how have you been?! You’re the jewelry expert so I wanted to run this one by you- do you know anything about the style? It’s super heavy, maybe pewter? 🤷🏻♀️I defer to you…

@chelleandbelle hey! Very interesting bracelet! I can’t be sure on the metal content without touching it…is it heavy or hollow? If it’s heavy (but not sterling) then I would agree that it’s pewter. It’s not steel due to the patina…
An easy way to test pewter is if you drop it in silver liquid cleaner (it won’t harm it), but it will smell bad. Lol

@chelleandbelle The double-sided pendant is most interesting- definitely Art Nouveau or Victorian Revival. The crown setting gives that away.
I would lean more towards Victorian Revival because of the cable twist design of the chain links. They didn’t really do that until Native influences entered the jewelry world. Circa 1940s

@chelleandbelle I just re-read that you said it’s heavy. That’s good news! Likely handmade, then. Did you test it for sterling content?

@juliekattke all good points thx!! I don’t have a silver test, maybe I’ll run it over to our local gold buyer and ask her to test it for me. I thought maaaaaaybe sterling too. I’ll update you when I find out, I sure appreciate your knowledge 💗I still refer to your 101s on brooches etc

@chelleandbelle definitely worth testing for sterling. Especially if it’s an older piece- it can legitimately be any color/shade of goldish silver.
