Vintage bangle bracelet

Vintage bangle bracelet from Vienna-based designer Michaela Frey, now known as Freywille. Beautifully painted enamel with pale pink, light blue and yellow flowers and leaves on periwinkle blue background. Dark blue interior. Gold Michaela Frey autograph inside. Child size. Shows some minor wear and tear from me wearing it on special occasions as a child. Michaela’s signature technique was fire enamel, a demanding and precise art form. It requires multiple layers of powdered glass, each fired at high heat. In many cases, up to 80 individual processes go into a single bracelet. The enamel is applied in layers, then baked, cooled, and polished repeatedly. Newest styles sell for over $1000. This would be a collectible piece for a lucky little girl or bat mitzvah gift.
