Vintage Taxco Mexico 925 Sterling Silver Pendant Obsidian Face Mask Signed PJB

This striking vintage pendant from Taxco, Mexico is crafted from 925 sterling silver and features a bold carved obsidian face or mask at its center. Measuring approximately 2.5 inches in diameter, it has a beautiful sunburst-style design with silver ball accents surrounding the stone. The obsidian is deeply carved and set in a raised bezel, giving the piece dramatic dimensionality. The back of the pendant is stamped “TAXCO MEXICO 925” and “PJB”—likely the artisan’s initials. There’s also an additional maker’s mark that resembles either a stylized face or an eagle (see photos). The pendant comes on a 24” silver-toned chain that is likely not original and is unmarked (composition unknown). Condition: The pendant is unpolished and shows natural tarnish from age, but it should polish up nicely if desired. No damage—just wear consistent with vintage sterling.
