Vintage Santa wall hanging ( has some damage )possibly paper mache

This is a really cute vintage Santa wall hanging it is like a flat tray with raised edges as in the picture there is some damage to it As in the pictures. The portion where Santa's head and the arms are are raised I am not sure if it is paper mache or what it is used to make it a thicker Area. If you look at the pictures where the damage is you can see in the last picture that it could possibly be paper mache. The flaws that I have pictured would possibly be an easy remedy for that crafty person. Please look at the pictures carefully before making an offer or purchasing there are no returns on this item.
