Vintage Pyrex

This Vintage Pyrex  baking dish with glass lid is in great condition. This baking dish has the Town and Country pattern, brown on white. Lid markings : Pyrex, 2 470 C Dish markings : 473, 1 qt., Pyrex, 15, made in the USA, ovenware. Pattern introduced in 1963 and was manufactured until 1967. The designer is said to possibly be - Philip Johnson. Multiple versions of many dishes in the Town and Country collection  are in existence because of the mix and match  kitchenware trend at that time. The second design of Town and Country was never promoted in catalogs.   Town and Country was also released as a Refrigerator set (500), Round Casserole sets (470 & 480), Bake Ware  (043, 045, 063), and Oval Casserole sets  (043, 045, 063), when the second version of this set was introduced a Chip and Dip set (441, 444) was added
