Here are some measurements that might help: Pit to pit 15” Across waist 11” resting and abt 2” stretch Across hip 15.5” resting and then stretches Hem to bust 29” So to answer your question I do not think it is true to size I would say this is smaller than a medium, but it’s vintage, so it runs small . There is stretch all over though
