Light wear in corners and throughout as shown in photos. Bag from Karl Lagerfield era 1990’s which in my opinion was much better made back then. Hardware Quality: • In the 1990s (and through to about the mid-2000s), Chanel used 24K gold-plated hardware on many of its classic bags. That gives the hardware a deeper, richer gold tone and more “heft.” Leather & Material Thickness / Texture: • Lambskin in vintage Chanel is often described as thicker, more substantial, and “buttery” but still durable. It ages with character. Stitching, Quilting, Craftsmanship: • Stitch counts: more consistent, tight, often more stitches per inch, making quilting more structured. Less puffiness in quilting (i.e. more refined shape) in many vintage bags. Shape and structure: Vintage bags tend to hold their shape very well even after years.
