This antique carved Jade Dragon bracelet is stunning. It features clouds of white and smoky lavender on a mostly green base with some areas of vibrant apple/grass green.This is a true natural jade bracelet. It was carved mid century or earlier, decades or more before any treatments were invented to adulterate natural Jade. Condition is commensurate with age and as represented in the photos. This is a very heavy piece weighing a little more than 100 g.

volatpropriis @bedouinkitty hi dear! I think it’s a bit smaller than what I have posted. I didn’t realize I should measure the millimeters across to get the correct size when I posted it. ☺️ It’s 59mm. I have 5 3/4” wrist and it’s a bit snug to get it over my hand but fits beautifully on the wrist.

volatpropriis @hattie808 hi Hattie! Thanks for your patience; I’ve been under the weather. Older jade is not necessarily heavier, but it’s higher quality than most modern jade. Almost all jade on the market is treated with resin and/or dyes to improve the color and clarity of the stone. These treatments change the structure of the jade, can make it more fragile, and devalue it significantly.

volatpropriis @hattie808 (Kind of like fracture filling a diamond). This bangle has no treatments at all as it was carved decades before those treatments were invented and is classified as Grade A jade. Jade with treatments are classified as Grades B and C.
