Vintage 60s 70s Celanese Celara Knit High Waist Maxi Skirt- not sure of the era, I believe 1940s-60s. A rare fabric, & quite lovely. Slit in the front, center allows for ease of movement, makes for a demure yet sexy look. Zipper gets a bit stuck at top. Shown on my size 6 mannequin. “Celanese,” a combination of “cellulose” & “ease” remarking on the ease of cleaning & care of their acetate yarn, or artificial silk, fabrics. Officially took this name in 1927, becoming Celanese Corp. of America. C
