Vintage 1960s 60s Black Velvet Opera Coat Snap Closures Decorative Frogs 36 bust

This coat belonged to my mother. I believe it is from the 1960s. It is a heavy velvet, black opera coat with three decorative frog closures down the front. The front snaps closed with four snaps. Large front patch pockets. Has an attached hood. Fully lined. In excellent vintage condition with one spot of damage - see last photo. There is a spot on the back right where the cross thread has worn away and it’s down to the bare netting . There is no brand or size label. I’m guessing this is probably a small based on my mom’s size when she was wearing it. The bust measures approximately 36 inches. Length from front neck to hem approximately 53 inches. I have had this coat for at least a decade, but I have never worn it. It has been kept on the third level of my closet. Please note that this kind of velvet is a magnet for lint. The jacket will probably arrive with a little bit of lint on it. I don’t have the best eyesight or lighting, so I can’t see all the lint, but I will run the jacket over with a lint roller before packing.
