Victorian-Inspired Peridot and Seed Pearl Earrings

I purchased these secondhand. I'm not exactly sure if the box is original. I do know lots of museums (like Smithsonian) make replicas/interpretations of items in their collection. These are around 1" including the hook length (see photo) The back is marked. I *think* it says "925" and "China"—maybe implying its a coated sterling and made in China?
