The John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles is now known as The Ford. It is an outdoor venue built of concrete in 1931 that can seat approximately 1200 music lovers. Before the internet, handing out flyers for an upcoming concert was the easiest and least expensive way to advertise. Many of the handbills were discarded and finding an original one from 1988 like this one is very rare. The Ramones, with guest band Thelonious Monster, performed at The Ford on Saturday, July 16th., 1988. This 8.5 x 11 inch flyer promoting the concert is in decent condition for its age. It has age discoloration, paper loss in the corners and along the left side, and pinholes at several places along the top edge.
