First off, to be considered for a host pick, the hosts look for closets that follow the rules, that means no trading, no paypal and no selling of items that are not Poshmark approved. No perfume, no men's clothes, kid's clothes etc. Second, they look for clear pics and detailed descriptions. Third, you need to get their attention😊. Look at the upcoming parties, look at the hosts, start Sharing their stuff, update your photos and you'll have a host pick in no time.👍

thekogs I really love that you carry larger sizes for the curvier women as well as very small sizes for those who are naturally thin. I praise you on that. Its hard sometimes when you find a great piece of clothing and they only carry one size. so thank you for that. great posher= YOU!

mc_malia @cboyd221 / Thank you! It didn't really take me long at all, I made my first sales during my very first week on Posh. On average, I tend to make at least 3 sales per week, which is fine for a hobby. I try to join the nightly parties as much as possible and that is a very helpful way to increase your followers. Just by spending at least 30 minutes..Sharing your heart out during the parties and ladies will turn around and start following you. It's pretty awesome. I find it more relaxing than a glass of wine. A perfect ending to a hectic day. :)

cboyd221 Thank you for all the shares, and for your advice. I never thought about sharing from the actual parties, I just shared from individual closets, but your way sounds great. I have been on about 5-6 weeks, and have sold to 4 people, 2 were bundles. I really have so much to sell, I need to make room to move around here! Congratulations on how well you are doing. How long have you been on Posh, and do you have any idea how many members there are? Do you sell on any of the other sites people mention like Instagram, Tumblr, etc? I am just now hearing about these, and still don't really know what they are. Again, thanks for everything. Have a great weekend.

mc_malia @banfhiosaiche77 / hi! Welcome to posh. If you "like" this posting. This page will save to your Likes and you can periodically check in on my closet. I do add items occasionally. I also have a "sold" marker that marks the point of my sold items and Pending items that have been Bundled together for a sale and that way the buyer only has to pay one shipping for multiple items. I know, it all seems a bit confusing at first but you'll get the hang of it in no time. And always feel free to ask questions. :)

I was born in Armagh Ireland but my dad was in the Marines so we lived on the Sound for.years after cooking to the States & I first went into private practice there after completing my residency. It was only after dad retired & I had kids that we came back to Philly (one can NOT go through nine months of pregnancy w/o cheese steaks, Philly soft pretzels & TASTY KAKES! Next best thing to being home! Can we assume your 'mc' is an Irish? My whole family is proud to be Irish so much so my grandfather changed the spelling of òur surname back to the original Gaelic spelling 'MacAnnadh', anglicised it's McCann & is still pronounced the same batter the spelling. I think I'm gonna enjoy browsing your closet. My only experience with a suggested seller was nasty with a capital "N" but a short browse through your closet makes me think that won't be the case here! I left eBay when I found Threadflip but the degree of scammers just got to be too much & that's why when I see it here I out them & they get really mad at me (I think enraged is a good word) but is it right to buy a handbag on e Bay ° for $7 or $8 then list-ít on Posh for $42.00 to $55.00, say you paid $65.00 & even give it a brand-name like 'Blue Boutique'. What got me mad enough to confront it was when a couple of Poshers offered $30.00 & this greedy excuse for a human being said NO, because of Posh fees she would not give discounts on anything other than on bundles because people took advantage of her KINDNESS in the past! Almost everyone of her listings is from an Asian dropshipper or Alibaba. They use the photos the dropshipper uses in ) his catalogue but if they don't have a contract with the dropshipper they are violating copyright law to say nothing of the issue is State & Federal import fee's taxes which can seem high on one item (a lot of out of country sellers will mail things claiming they're a gift & on occasion they get caught and the items impounded until all taxes are paid & I can't say I really understand tax laws on imports but I have read clothing carries a Federal Excise tax. Excise taxes are also known as a 'hidden' taxs which are paid by the seller, not the buyer & the IRS is authorised to sue & ultimately incarcerate the guilty, The reason I went thru all this was more to point out you proved 'em wrong & put 'em to shame in one swoop. You aren't running a wholesale Asian clothing shop out of your closet & gouging buyers, you host parties, you have host picks & you follow the rules and if that weren't enough you're very sweet! Just like the many wonderful people who I meet each time I come to Poshmark! I WISH I could get others to see this and speak out when they do! I've a mental list of the worst offenders who is belching she should be a recommended or suggested user etc., & I should be booted for harassing her! You are, in my eyes at least (We all know what they say about Irish eyes! We'll° forget what they say about the Irish mouth for now!) a perfect example of what Poshmark is all about, INDIVIDUALS & their closets, NOT RETAIL OR EVEN WHOLESALE! I took a quick look at your closet and you won't be recommended or considered to host because you sell 😔children's items. Posh is for women's clothing and accessories. But if you clear up your closet, I bet you'll get noticed.👍😄😊
