Vintage Ronson Queen Anne Silverplate Cigarette Urn, produced in Newark, New Jersey during Ronson’s classic smoking accessory era.
This elegant accessory features a Georgian-inspired urn form with beaded rim, smooth center body, and fluted lower bowl, a decorative style used on Ronson’s Queen Anne smoking sets produced in the late 1930s–1940s.
The piece originally served as a cigarette urn insert in Ronson smoking stands or table smoking sets, designed to hold cigarettes upright while complementing Ronson table lighters and trays.
Many vintage Ronson smoking sets survive without the removable urn, making original inserts highly desirable replacement parts for collectors restoring incomplete sets.
Heavy silverplate over brass, indicated by warm brass tones visible at natural wear points and the substantial 9 oz weight.
Early Ronson accessories frequently used brass castings beneath the silverplate, which were thicker and more durable than later plated alloys.
Deep die-struck Ronson hallmark Separate base plate construction Crisp beaded rim mold detail Classic Queen Anne decorative styling
These characteristics suggest late 1930s–early 1940s Ronson production (pre-WWII era).
