Authentic prehistoric fossil shark tooth made into a tie clasp. Tooth is from an extinct species, Isurus hastalis, from the Miocene era. Sometimes called "giant mako." The species has more recently been reclassified and determined to be a direct ancestor of the Great White, called Carcharodon hastalis, and not a true Mako. (You get a little paleontology science with your purchase, lol!) This tooth was discovered about 40 years ago at Calvert Cliffs.
