as perfect as it gets! 1988 Rolex Datejust 18K/SS. 100% original and authentic. one owner watch. He bought it brand new from a jeweler I know back in 88. The paperwork/interior box/exterior box/two booklets/the sticker/the tags. EVERYTHING comes with this watch. The guy wore it only a few times (he said he’s not a watch guy.) the gold is not worn or light colored. It’s still a nice darker 18K color. A scuff or two on the crystal, and the band/case has never been polished. Putting out feelers

The date doesn’t look right, but it could be the way the photo was taken. What is the serial number of this piece?

@joshpilot it is absolutely 100% authentic, and a beautiful example of a mid-eighties Rolex. Over priced by about $2k, but, you have every right to sell it for whatever price you want. As for authenticity, no doubt about it, totally legit.

@gman65 thanks! It is beautiful! I’m just looking for some bites. It costs too much to sell on here, but, I do think it holds a premium due to others I’ve bought that aren’t nearly as nice. And yea, it’s probably priced a little too high, but, like I said, 20% is a lot to take off the top for Poshmark!

I'd like to buy this, but it's priced a bit too high. What do you want for it? Is there anyway we can private message?

I like this piece, however, I have a question/concern. Rolex uses a sapphire crystal which means its is almost nearly impossible it scuff/scratch with normal wear. You state that the watch was only worn a couple of times.....how then did a scratch/scuff happen on the crystal? Just curious

@gmuen7828 80’s datejusts were plastic crystals. Very easy to get a sapphire crystal. I was going to before listing but decided to keep it all original for now and let someone else decide if they want to get a new crystal

@yungpharell ok just looked at that listing on your page. Not really my speed man. Looking for either a 2 tone sub, cash, or big diamonds. Thanks though!

@yungpharell I’m a jeweler by trade and, as some advice, I’d definitely get an appraisal from bachendorf if I were you and you really wanna sell it. It’s definitely definitely worth having for the retail market. It’ll be hard to eat good money out of it otherwise. Just some advice!
