Fair condition vintage ( mid - late 1940s to 50s ) NCAA University of Mississippi Rebels men's exclusive short-sleeve, off-white raglan crop top athletic crewneck sweatshirt -- with a striking collegiate spell-out graphic featuring perhaps the earliest iteration of the Rebel mascot available either online or on the second-hand market (MEGA RARE). This particular item is so incredibly uncommon that it is among some of the oldest surviving athletic apparel released by the institution after rebranding its athletic programs' nickname from the Mississippi Flood to the Rebels in 1936 (similar historical collector's items from other prestigious universities have previously sold for up to $300+). The piece is in solid shape for a true vintage, decades-old athleisure garment, showing what experts would consider a typical amount of natural marks, discoloration & distression for its age (roughly 75+ years old now), as seen in photos.
