From Relwen: A true best-of-class parka, our layer-able and generously proportioned Fishtail comes with an impressively durable, hydrophobic shell fabric of lightweight cotton/nylon with a polyurethane coating. The shell has a certain snap reminiscent of the original cotton parkas but with a nylon content that adds loads of durability and function. A removable quilted liner with knitted wool lined hood and rib knit cuffs instantly serves as a 2nd jacket as weather permits. Taking its cues from the original M-51 parka, many of the original’s construction hallmarks faithfully remain. Every detail painstakingly considered and built to last. This is our most protective garment across all elements. My take: This jacket is serious. A substantial garment, the construction quality is amazing. If you haven't worn Relwen before then you'll appreciate the quality...all seams are felled, etc. It's a really warm jacket so perfect if you live in cold conditions or run cold. It's also in great condition: worn only 5-6 times last winter. The jacket liner is phenomenal...I get regular compliments on that alone. If you like parkas then you'll love this thing.
