The 8085 sports a Vibram 430 Minilug sole, offering traction without bulk. This shoe is named for the miners of the Mesabi Iron Range in Northern Minnesota, who were in desperate need of footwear that could withstand the rugged terrain. Even then, the leather-reinforced toecap and sophisticated heel construction successfully stood up to the most adverse conditions.
