Backpack straps can be zipped away if you need to check in the bag but I have just used this as a carry on that fits in the overhead bin. Dimensions are approximately 23 x 15 x 9 inches. Backpack is in good condition with no rips or stains. I used it for about 2 months of travel that included hiking, camping and staying in hotels and hostels.
