claireaudient @dpelley sure thing, Debbie, i can see where you may have gotten confused by my phrasing. i was not suggesting that *you* yourself had engaged in deliberate, nefarious phishing schemes clearly designed to impersonate someone from the company, providing the link that will soon steal all their most critical data, because i have no reason to believe that you do.

claireaudient i don't presume to know how you operate in the world of financial-social affairs but i would hope it is as ethically as anyone can, as everyone deserves. & i hope you can find pride in that integrity because it is rare. because that would be terrible, immoral not to mention illegal predation on already vulnerable people. i know that because i did receive such a seemingly simple message from the OTHER PERSON your comment was written to,

claireaudient @dpelley (i don't presume to know how you operate your financial affairs. –there's no way i could, having never done business with you before & was only trying to interject to get the word out to save others from my experience. it is so rampant & common now i fear for how much harm & damage has been done already to new sellers just trying to make ends meet, etc. if you conduct your business as ethically as you can, i hope you retain a sense of pride in that integrity

claireaudient @dpelley my first sale was complete but i had to "verify [my] status as a seller", or else the sale will be cancelled". the same message that looks legit from poshmark instructs you to click a link to provide banking and social security info thus began showing up more often but i was only naïve & stressed enough the first time to compromise my information... so while i didn't mean to level any accusations against you, just the person who i had firsthand knowledge of doing so.

claireaudient @dpelley 🌻 hope that helped explain things. i didn't accuse you but sorry for not clarifying, though that when you asked her if she still needed needles & i had replied (to you, not about you,) but i suppose i could've tried to be clearer in answering that she was more interested in online fraud - of which poshmark is aware & investigating currently. just a heads up everyone. please be safe out there! apologies for the long explanation but i was asked quite firmly for one.

claireaudient @recycledtco i didn't look at your sales history, i was getting lots of those messages throughout the day but yours was the first & most successful. so i would have had no idea even to look there, being new to the app. but i also wouldn't want to directly accuse you if it was a hacker impersonating you & scamming on your account. i'm sure that's stressful & im sorry. i've reported to ftc & fbi who are looking into it

dpelley @claireaudient I do understand what your saying thank you for clearing up I do know cause I was also being asked for banking info and more and couldn't figure out why I just hope I didn't cause myself any problems cause like a idiot I am I have info again thank you for clearing that up.
