@cassjern Aw. Your welcome. That's for the rating and the kind words. If you have any Posh questions ask. I'd be glass to help. Been in Posh two years. I'm up to selling 100 items a month. Kind of do this as a part time job.

Thank you for the tips! Very helpful!
I am wondering about something: with Poshmark only allowing 500 characters, how do I not use abbreviations like GUC & still fit description of details & features, measurements, description of any flaws, mention that I have pets, but store sales items separately, etc? I rely on abbreviations to give me more characters for everything else.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

@leanderandhero you could always comment below on your own listing. Maybe add see comments for addition info. When writing the listing name you can leave out the brand name and always added it the the picture. In the past. We also created two listings for the same item, so we could add more pictures and more of a description. . Hope this helps

@leanderandhero You could also create a listing like my tips listing to tell more about your closet. To tell about how you store clothes I fold my clothes with tissue paper and store in plastic bags with a stripe of dryer sheet. That way they stack on a shelf. Posh was taking over my house.

@abatts Thank you! I have done measurements in comments a couple of times. Maybe I'm just over describing, lol.

@abatts I do have a separate listing that talks about pets, and how I store in a pet free room, that I wash items before selling, how I wash, etc. I use bags & bins for some storage, but so many of my items wouldn't fare well folded in a bag, so I hang a lot in an armoire. I've pretty much taken over our rarely used guest room, haha.
Thanks again for all your advice!!! I really appreciate it!

@leanderandhero I didn’t know how to word the title to make it more “searchable” and this will prove to be helpful to me I’m sure! Speaking of pets, is it best not to post pictures of them on our closet page? Right now my cats are posted! 🐈⬛

Please tell me more!! Do you have a blog or YouTube tutorials? I’m excited to learn how to be more successful doing Poshmark. Not only do I love the work of shopping for and selling fashion, it’s supplementing my Social Security income! I’m doing well but the more I learn the more I’ll have in my “beauty budget!” I’m so glad to see your post and please accept my most sincere thanks!

@22scampy Hmmm. I must have post this awhile ago. I’m trying to remember. I personally do use adjectives that I feel do describe the mood of the clothing item.

@22scampy I’m not here just to sell certain brands: I truly love fashion & fashion history. I did some costume study here, as well as designing & running costume for a few small productions. I like an individual piece not fit the brand, but for its aesthetic & construction, etc.
Do I say- describe how you like! It’s no ones place to tell you how to sell unless you ask ;-)

I’m actually pretty shy about most social media & only use FB to keep up with friends & family. I’m just here to try to share & sell pretty things that I hope make someone happy!
So, nope, I don’t have a tutorial. Just a long learning curve.

@22scampy I’m not sure about the pet posting. I have my cats up there; a lot of people do. I think seeing all the furry friends is one of the best parts.
I don’t know who told you, or why they said that, but it wasn’t I.
I’m always happy to try to help.

@22scampy My biggest advice is to share a lot, especially when you’re newer. Share your closet to others, & share when browsing too. Share to the evening parties & on weekends more often.
Also, I think it’s important to always try to be kind, friendly & polite. I’ve made friends here- something I’ve never done online before 😊

@leanderandhero I’ve talked to helpful Poshers as well as giving my knowledge to the beginners. I believe in Poshmark and I recommend it to friends and family who need extra income. It has been a blessing to my husband and I. He has become excited about helping me post items! He’s the photographer and I’m the copy writer! Poshmark is a great help to retired folks like us. I want to learn more, do you have YouTube videos or a blog? I’ll be one of your most loyal followers!

@22scampy I don’t. I’m pretty shy, and mostly grew up before social media, so I’ve never done much except Poshmark. Thank you, though. I’m so flattered!

@22scampy Poshmark is really great!! I wish more people knew about it. It can be a bit of a labor of love initially, but I think it’s really fun to look & share & chat.
And it is a great way to supplement an income. I started that way when my son was still small.

@leanderandhero I’m glad you agree that pet pictures are ok. My Scampy gets more likes than anything in my closet. They think it’s cute that Scampy is our CEO!
