mhoriole @catlady1952 I didn't either so I created one after paying for a couple overweight packages. Bundle weight adds up so I'm glad you can use the info!

nereichek Yes this is good information but how do you get the buyer to pay it? I have spent $ this way as well. I didn’t see how I had any choices except to to give a good deal and lose the sale. I paid 11$ once on a mans coat. Nancy

mhoriole @nereichek Let the buyer know that it is an overweight package and discuss the extra shipping charge with them. If they are willing to pay the extra shipping charges, create an item with the shipping fee for them to purchase. Poshmark will get their fee but you still recoup most of the shipping cost and complete the sale. You can also cancel the sale if the buyer doesn't want to pay the extra shipping.

I have had one nice person split their bundle and pay 2 times so I had 10 lbs but never have I added $ to the order or canceled. I should have! Thank you for this. I truly appreciate it. Nancy

mhoriole @nereichek You would want to bundle the shipping charge with the items(s) being purchased. I cancel the original order and create a new bundle with the extra shipping charge. Buyer can't just purchase the extra shipping because Poshmark tacks on shipping so you have to bundle with items.

mhoriole @nereichek You could add a note to items that weigh over 5 lbs that overweight shipping charges will apply. That let's shoppers know up front.

mhoriole @nereichek Heavy winter coats are tough and I have paid my fair share of extra shipping! Definitely easier to get extra shipping charges negotiated on large bundles.
