pixiedustpj you have a Scottish Fold also? I've had two in the past. They are the best most adorable sweethearts in the world. I had one in the car with me and I went through a food drive-thru and the guy was so surprised he said what happened to her ears are they broken? oh I loved my Scottish Folds. the only other person I know of that has a Scottish Fold is Taylor Swift.

Scottish fold is very similar to them, and as you know they have the most amazing personalities...swear mine is part dog 🤭

pixiedustpj oh no! I bought one from cindyluvscats...about 15 years ago. Adopted another from petfinder.org. unfortunately she wasn't taken care of correctly and she came to me with a deep-seated lung infection. I tried everything on her and eventually I had to put her down because I couldn't handle having her in pain. But the vet said she thinks that I was actually in more pain than the cat. Chloe would just sneeze and sneeze and sneeze and sneeze and she was just precious.

pixiedustpj their Humane Society in Volusia County Daytona Beach where I was living at the time had a woman who told me she had been waiting for Scottish Fold or a ragdoll to come in for 5 years and it never happened. I now have a ragdoll Himalayan combo. ragdolls are also incredibly precious. When you pick them up they go limp and they just will let you rub their tummy, walk around with them like they're a baby... follow you around. Their temperament is very similar.

pixiedustpj I like Scottish Folds and ragdolls equally. Himalayans are also very gorgeous and sweet they are a combination of Persians and Siamese. but you have to look at the Scottish Fold with those big eyes and those cute little ears and your heart melts. Good luck there's one waiting for you.

getthelook19 @pixiedustpj Hi, I know it's a bit cheeky but was after some advice about Scottish folds. I'm about to purchase one, it's a Scottish Straight, beautiful girl...but I don't have much experience in the breed. I've been reading about this osteochondrodysplasia (OCD)and because of it, they seems to have this breed of cat on the banned list everywhere apart from here, Australia and Asia.

getthelook19 @pixiedustpj Do you know anything about it? They're (online) are saying it's like having arthritis on steroids. That these cats have horrible deaths and that they can get ill from as early as 6 months. Just freaking out a little because, I have to hand the money over in a few days and I don't know what to do. Any advice, I would be extremely grateful 🙏

pixiedustpj @getthelook19 I have had two and they were NOTHING like that. Samantha died on her own of I guess old age (14.) She was spry the whole time. She died actually while eating breakfast. I found her (I'm sorry this hurts) with her face in her plate. Nothing violent at all. Chole-Belle I adopted and she had a deep-seated cold because the elderly people taking care of her had her and 8 Persians. NO CARE!! I spent tons of money on her lungs. NO ARTHRITS. Never ever heard about it by my vets.

pixiedustpj She could climb all the way to the top of ANYTHING in the room. She loved to lie on top of the tv armoire and look down on you. The only problem with Scottish Folds that I was told by a vet was that she was a small nosed cat, so it was harder for her to get rid of a cold. She would sneeze a lot. She could run and jump. My vet said that with her cold that I was suffering more then she was suffering. I put her down, had the vet come to the house because she was never going to get over that

pixiedustpj infection and I could not see her be in any distress at all. (She was maybe 8 years old.) They are the most precious babies that do the cutest oddest breed specific things. They sleep on their back. They stand up on their hind legs. I would get another in a second!!! You have to find a breeder that is not selfish. pixiedustpj straight ear Scottish Fold. Chloe Belle was a folded ear Scottish Fold. Interview the breeder. See what kind of knowledge they have and that should tell you about their honesty. Good luck. Keep me posted they are the BEST!!!!

Firstly, can I apologize for upsetting you regarding you beautiful kitty dying. I know how much that hurts, as we lost our beloved Kiri years ago. It affected us so much we never bought and pet. We took Lilly (the sleeping BSH in my closet) when they finished using her for breeding. She deserved a good life and she's having a ball.

getthelook19 @pixiedustpj can't wait for Orlando Airport to open so I can bring her to Florida, covid19 has just ruined everything ☹️ that's why we're trying to get one from the USA as well. You've helped reassure me a lot so thanks. It'll definitely keep you updated. I asked the breeder all the questions that you suggested, and now I'm waiting for a response. Just wish that there were more reputable breeders in Florida, I wouldn't have to be looking elsewhere.
