There is an etched/molded dragon relief on the sides, as well as a, cloud shaped tea lid handle and bulbous swirls on the sides and bottom. Nixing (as compared to Yixing) allows circulation and does not trap heat as much heat as zini and duanni teapots do. Nixing is therefore a better clay to use for more delicate teas. Chinese dragon teapot is considered very lucky.
