Based in Los Angeles, California, The Giving keys has a facility in Downtown LA, near Skid Row, where it employs people transitioning out of homelessness to engrave inspirational words on new and recycled keys. Their mission is to employ individuals who are experiencing or have experienced homelessness, helping them gain job experience and a path toward stable housing. The process involves employees engraving inspirational words like "Hope," "Dream," and "Believe" onto keys, which are then made into jewelry such as necklaces, earrings and bracelets.
