Mid Century Modern Wool Rug Wall Hanging Ox Water Buffalo with a Striped…

Not sure what the animal is but it looks like it is wearing a hat. It measures approx. 37 inches long (including fringe) x 17 1/2 inches wide. Fringe on top and bottom. Little bit of discoloration on the tassels. Very minor. There is a string on the middle section. That is just the end that is knotted to finish that section. It tucks behind the rug just fine. Just wanted to let you know that it is there. Thick ply. It looks like it is from South America. Maybe Peru?? Not sure.
