hey Judy. I'm so sorry the smell was so overwhelming. honestly I think it's because of the fabric of the sweater. I steam all of my items after using fabric freshner to pull some of the scent out and haven't had a complaint till now although I've never used it on wool before. I'm so sorry to have offended with it, just like to freshen my pieces up a bit before I ship. I am happy to hear that you like the sweater though. it is a beauty.
