Hi Chris. I am so sorry you had a problem with the shoes. I should have taken the rubber piece off. That was something I had inserted and not a part of the shoe. I always have to put those in my shoes to keep them on because my heel is narrow. Unless you have the same problem they don’t need the inserts. if you want new inserts you can get them free at Nordstrom or pay for them at any shoe repair.

@hershey011 I believe the shoes will need the rubber piece or else the leather on the heel will fall tear. Not a big deal. I will go to Nordy's or a shoe repair. Thank you.
