markitfy @daywearables this was found in a lady’s bathtub under piles and piles of brand new clothing with tags. A friend found it, along with the original wallet. She said they both had the department store tags but she removed them. Just thought you might like the history ;)

markitfy @daywearables that’s the original key. I’m trying to find someone to duplicate it. I have it on other platforms and tons of people have asked for a key. The French Company went out of business so there is no way to get keys for their LV Bags or their Luggage. At least that is what I read???

markitfy @daywearables thanks, I’m pretty certain it’s never been used. I sold the wallet. I mostly sale LV products. I moved, but have to manage a Cotton farm 4 hours away until I find a buyer. I’m just swamped so I haven’t ordered anymore high end bags until I get settled. I think I might have a Speedy 25 and a Westminster. I didn’t know Posh was so “interactive.” I need to get serious and start listing my good stuff! Feel free to make an offer ;)

katfoxaz67 Very cool that you have this in such great condition! I have the same one-- made in 69 or 70, Same tag inside. I've had it 30 years and when I found it it needed some repairs. These were done by LV 25 years ago -- yours is lovely. I love the vintage LV so much more than the new ones I've gotten over the years! markitfy @meshelly79 sorry it’s taken me so long to respond. I am swamped with my businesses right now. I have A LOT of people asking about the key. We have called/been by every locksmith within a 100 mile radius, they have all said they couldn’t do it. It has something to do with the little notch at the end. A friend is going to try making a mold of the key with a 3-D printer. I promise if I find a solution, I will let all of you know ASAP! Thanks, Karen

markitfy @luxbydesign I had an original offer from a collector for $6500. But she had some financial issues arise. This bag had the original price tags still on it when it was found. I’m going to keep the key, but make me an offer, I just got in a ton of newer LV,s, Gucci, Chanel, bags and tons of band new clothing from all luxury brands. I’m trying to get back in to selling from a little vacation. I’ll work with you if interested.

markitfy @cynthiarapoza these can be hard to authenticate because they were made by a luggage company. They were given the rights by LV to make certain products because of such a high demand in the States during the time period. My best recommendation is not to buy from a seller unwilling to have a product authenticated. Especially on any of these sites were they offer the items just below the price for mandatory authentication. Sorry for the late reply :)

markitfy @claudiaayala821 my suggestion is to keep searching the web. Also search for “vintage keys” on all the marketplaces. Might get lucky :) I’ve had no luck trying to reproduce this one, as soon as I do I’ll let everyone know that has reached out.
