3 small rings on the rim of the lid. Great pan. I never use it… so selling most of my Moms kitchen goodies. Handle on lid spins but it’s totally secure. Looks like the outside is sorta half matte finish. See the last 2 pics, I tried to capture. It’s a diagonal line below the side pour indintations. Tones of life left.
