Hello Poshers! First off, sorry about the pic, I am not photogenic and my 3 yr old took it:) Just wanted to introduce myself- I'm having a blast meeting all kinds of cool women on here, so I figured they might want to know who they are talking to... Lol- ran out of characters so will continue here if anyone's still reading... I work for a pharmaceutical company that makes "boutique" injectable drugs for hospitals and since it is a sterile environment, I'm not allowed to wear makeup, hair products, or perfume and spend my days in scrubs. When I'm not working, I'm either at the gym or hanging with my daughter. So as you can see, I don't get a lot of chances to be pretty! (Acting excited over the creation of a "big poopie" does not meld well with Prada) That being said, I love fashion and and all things lovely:) I have a huge heart for Africa- I spent last August there, working in an orphanage and fell in love. Oh how I wish I could have brought "my babies" back with me:( they are always in my heart:) Anyway, now that I've wrote a book, please feel free to introduce yourself and tag me if you have any if my "addictions" for sale:) God Bless!

@alyssa_rose94 lol- thank you but I am about as run-of-the-mill as they come:) But God does amazing things with ordinary people everyday! And if you have ever thought about going to Africa, I encourage you to do it- you will never regret it... It will change you and what you think is important- and you will feel more love there than you thought possible. They are so selfless and thankful for life. I came back determined to change the world- lol, but found I had to settle for my own little corner:) God bless you and your tender spirit- I pray you get the chance to do all that's in your heart<3

I have a few beautiful ones that have only been worn a couple times but wasn't sure of the rules...

Lol, I'm trying to break the stereotype of a "Christian":) My pastor has tattoos, pierced ears and favors Versace.... and has the biggest, kindest heart you will ever find<3 Thirdly, that is so awesome that you have a heart for Africa, I totally encourage you to go if the opportunity ever arises again! It will completely change your life, and thebway you perceive what is important... Being among all that poverty, suffering and pain, yet being overwhelmed by the purest love and thankfulness you will ever experience, it just can't NOT change your heart for the better:) It healed so many wounds for me and made me want to be better, do my part to make the world better... lol, I sound like a motivational speaker:/ But it really is so amazing and something I wish everyone could do:) Anyway, sorry to go on and on, I can get carried away on this subject! @sdshopper I guess we really are our own worst critics, because I look at you and think "if only!....";) But I so agree with you on the kids- they see and hear everything we say and do and will imitate us and believe everything. I try to be careful not to tear myself down,EVER, in front of my daughter because I don't want her to think that's ok- I want her to know and believe she is beautiful- the world will do enough damage, we have to try to balance it out with good:) Your boys are very blessed to have such a smart, strong, loving and beautiful mama<3 And yes, I think I'd like to see that movie, I'm usually more of a book girl but I could make an exception for that;)

Wow! I look at you the same way!! And yes, it's even more important for your daughter. Girls are their own worst critics and you are so right. The world will do plenty of damage and it's sad we can't protect them from it. We can only remind them if their true beauty. I am the same, love books. My hubby and I don't get to go out but this one I am going to see. Three boys- we spend every waking moment with them. We both Angela are truly blessed and rich with our children. God is good!ā¤ļø

š„šš„Hope you had a GREAT Easter! š£š£š£ Haven't had a lot of time to Posh, Sydney's Sr prom is this weekend, then I have her graduation party the next weekend, and graduation on May 11th. I can not believe it. I've been in denial most of the year. My middle boy graduates 8th grade and my youngest graduates 5th grade all next month, so will be cray cray around here! I'm taking my daughter and 4 of her friends to Florida for a week for their senior trip in May too! So I may get behind, but doesn't mean I'm not thinking of my PFFs! So there was never "perfectly healthy" & then we got kicked in the teeth, we didn't have to make that mind F'ing adjustment that does some people in! It ain't much...I know, but it's all we got! I was in a very dark place & nearly totally disabled for every minute of 25 years!! He convinced me that I couldn't/wouldn't live without him! I knew that his dark, angry, blaming nature took a toll on my health, but never in a MILLION years did I ever imagine how much until I took a chance on myself & left him, filed for divorce on my birthday 2005! Best thing I ever did!!

@linmp1031 We produce extremely expensive and hard to create drugs for other pharmaceutical companies- most are for different types of cancer, MS, Crohns, MRSA, and so on.. Right now we are producing a treatment for thyroid cancer that takes 10 YEARS to create a single batchš We also do a drug for babies with leukemiaā¤ļø We actually make over 350 different drugs for about 20 different companies and some of our ownš I keep waiting for a new Fibro drug to show up!! Hopefully one day soon...

We can talk about Africa all you want- just a warning, I can get on a roll with that topic!!š I have wanted to be a missionary for as long as I can remember and I still hope to be able to do it in a bigger capacity, God willingš My bestie leaves on the 8th of July for a 2 month stay in Kenya and my heart is longing to go with.. It's just killing me! I know I will go back again, I just want it to be NOW!!! Lol- patience isn't my strongest suit!! aww.. Sweetheart...how in the world do you do 8 12 hr. shifts...that would totally kill me!!! I never schedule myself more then 2 days in a row, then it takes me a day to get over it...lol and that's what I do at lunch :)) I work 7a-7p...I like to take me lunch late around 4p...(if I even get a lunch..lol) that is totally my stress reliever ...I do it cause that's what I want to do... :)) no worries...and don't you work too hard!!! xoxox

Like today, not sure where your from, but I'm from Alabama. And we have very humid days. UGH, I love the South, but if you know anything about where I'm from, the heat is Rechid here! So when it rains it's like a double whammy on Fibromyalgia folks! So I totally feel your pain plus some. How do they diagnose the CFS?

šššJust wanted to add that I think you are one of those few people who inspire! You and your daughter are beautiful and truly a gift from God. Most people take things in life for granted, but not you. We all need to know that we ARE blessed for SOMETHING !! I was blessed with a kidney transplant 2 years ago. My kidneys had been failing for 15 years through full time work. I truly was blessed with a kidney from a young man (18) who died in a car crash. I do pray for him and his family. His misfortune saved many lives as he and his family wanted to donate everything! He SAVED many lives! May God keep him close! Anyway, thank you for reminding me to continue to count my blessings every day! ā¤ļøā¤ļøššš

You are both VERY photogenic!! There's a light of joy that comes right through the pictures. And reading about your life in research posts just reinforces that impression of true beauty.
I understand the few-chances-to-feel-pretty thing. I'm a pediatric nurse practitioner & basically spend a huge chunk of my life in scrubs. I go for cute & unique even in scrubs, but they're still kinda like a stiffer & more modest pj. And home is usually filled with family time, housework, yard work, helping the DH in the soybean fields,& my biggest joy....playn like a 4 year old with my spitfire, energizer bunny granddaughter....most of which is done in shorts+tank/tee or in ACTUAL pjs šBut every now & again we get to do something that requires actual grown-up, amongst-other-people clothing. @sherry8888 Sherry!! I finally found it- I'm so sorry, how embarrassing!š Yes! Weather changes and even humidity seems to make mine worse! And when the CFS flares up, it's 10x worseš Ok, so from what I recall, CFS is very common for people with Fibro- it's an autoimmune (sp?) disorder and it's most often diagnosed in a process of elimination... I had drs telling me I had cancer, brain tumors, MS, and my all time fave- "It's all in your head"š³ Finally I found someone who would listen and he's helped me a lot!! The symptoms include extreme exhaustion, recurring headaches, muscle weakness and spasms and your white blood count being extremely low. I also have hypothyroidism which made it much worse. They say it's like Mono on steroids. I also had Bar Epstein with it, as I think that's also a common occurrence. It's worth looking into if you feel like you're dealing with more than Fibro (as if that's not enough!!!) I had to have very in depth blood tests before it showed up- it's pretty sneaky stuff. But the good news is, this was 20 years age so now days there's a lot more awareness and research going on and it's more recognized as a "real" illness. @anoliver Hey Angela, we have so much in common, you really have no idea how much. I'm in awe at the moment. I have maybe 1 day a week I feel like super woman & that day As LNG as my body will go before my back starts to spasm, I keep going! Then it starts shutting down on me! Whether I'm finished or not, it's finished. :( I do have a slew of health issues, but don't understand why I can have 1 day a week or 1 day out of 2 weeks & the rest I can't muster hardly any energy besides just daily body maintenance.

@sherry8888 I feel ya girl, it's a daily struggle!! As much as I hate that you hurt and I pray for your complete healing, it feels good to know I'm not alone!! I would look into CFS and Hypothyroidism if you think it could be a possibility... Fibro is horrible but from what my doc says that doesn't really account for the extreme fatigue. If you can find a dr. who will do in depth testing with those two things in mind, it will hopefully get you some answersš I also have friends with Fibro who see rheumatologists and have good luck there, I haven't done that yet but am considering it! I will definately keep you in my prayers and please let me know if you find anything new outš And if you ever just need a shoulder to cry on, I'm good for that too!!! Some days get to be too much and you just need someone to listen...My closet door is always open!šš

May God richly bless you for your service, your story touched my heart so muchā¤ļø I have wanted to get involved in something like that for a long time, we did a lot of back packing out in the bush while in Kenya, delivering food, water, and clothes and telling them about Jesus, but that's about as close as I've come so far...And yes, I could have brought all 60 kids home with me! It was a life changing experience for sure, God opened my eyes and heart to so many things while I was there. The poverty and sickness was almost overwhelming, I would cry myself to sleep a lot. But there was also a spirit of love, beauty and hope in the people there that I had never experienced before- they were so appreciative to God for the little they have and the warmth of there spirits was inspiringā¤ļø The mission/ children's home is in it's 9th year now, and of course there are always obstacles/trials, but they are still thriving!š I hope to go back again soon, but until then we will keep fundraising and supporting them as well as we canš I'm so happy we met, talking with you has brought joy to my heartā¤ļø And thank you for the compliment, Haven is a handful but the most precious gift I've ever been givenš I hope you have a blessed night Joanne!šš

Sweet Angie, i know you are a strong ladyš you will conquer thisššš. I am doing okay as long as the kiddos are behaving. If not my hair will become all white..Lol. Can you believe the school my first grade attends does not get to wear Halloween costumes? Only Kinders. And my son was disappointed šš. And this yr the elementary have no school on that day too.. @tallison Hi luv! I'm still pretty much the same, but that's really a blessing... Usually when I start getting sick like this it gets worse until I'm in the hospital. So "the same" is goodš I won't lie, every day is a struggle, but at least I'm still here for the battle!!!!š How's everything with you???
