Japanese Nagoya Obi Sash in Pure Silk with a Painted Picture of an Old Sailing Ship…Vintage c. 1960 Black silk Obi sash with a fuchsia lining measures 11 feet long A painted Antique Sailing Ship and on bottom of sash a painted wave and on narrow wrap another smaller ship that would show in the front of the sash The Nagoya Obi have a unique shape it’s 11” wide at the bow end and 5½” narrow at the belt section…it makes it easier to tie and more comfortable to wear than the full-width versions The Sash is in Excellent vintage pre-owned condition ‘as found’…very minor signs of wear… where the folds are a bit of the paint has cracked quite un-noticeable Pre-owned linens and collectibles have had a previous life and may show minor signs of wear, including stains or flaws consistent with age and use.
