Description: JAPANESE BRONZE OKIMONO OF A TURTLE Naturalistically modelled with cast signature, possibly Shuyama, in rectangular cartouche w:4.75 in. There’s a marking at the bottom of the turtle, but I cannot make it out. This came from a World War II veterans home where he traveled the world and collected unique things. One of these Turtles sold an auction for $225. See picture.
