This Ilse Jacobsen Hornbaek soft shell raincoat in dark indigo is in great condition and has been a lifesaver for me the handfuls of times I’ve worn it. I’ve worn it in downpour and light rain and have been comfortable in all precipitation. The entire interior including the sleeves is lined with black fleece for added warmth and wind protection. It looks super smart with a white turtleneck underneath along with black leggings and some rain boots. The raincoat is perfect for me in Southern California but if you’re looking to wear this in super cold weather, be prepared to wear layers underneath or look elsewhere for down lining. It’s a size 34 and has some details that give it a slim fitted look. Note that the waist tapers in to create a flattering slim waist look but because of that you’ll have to be extra careful observing and measuring for fit since there’s no stretch or a boxy fit for extra give. Cuffs can be zippered for some extra room. The care instructions were not written on the coat but the website says it is machine washable in cold water with mild detergent; tumble drying helps reactivate the coating on the coat for water and dirt repellency. I’m sorry to part with this coat but it doesn’t fit me anymore. Please refer to the size guide from the website for fit. Remember that the size 34 does not refer to waist size.
