Awesome running shoe- crazy light, plenty of breathability, a fun ride that's very responsive with a Pebax plate. Thin, form fitting upper, plenty of cushion underfoot, but with a firmer, springier sole than most Hoka ultra-plush trainers. Speed and distance, this is the best of both worlds (and that's exactly why I chose it as my first plated shoe). You can wear it as a trainer, but it is totally race day worthy. I'm only giving them up because I purchased them a half size larger than my normal size at my local running store. I thought I'd be able to make them work but the extra room caused some friction issues for me on long runs. In total, I've only put 50 miles on these (and a good portion of those were treadmill miles), so they are in fantastic shape both structurally and cosmetically.
