Hand Made Tempest Skirt

This piece comes from Convertible Crochet by Doris Chan and can be found on page 16. The pattern says it can be worn as a skirt or poncho, but I prefer the look of it as a skirt - so that's how I styled it in the photos. I used a strand of Cotton Kings in Baby Blue and a strand of Dahlia Mixo in Pistachio, held as one throughout. The Dahlia Mixo has four individual strands in different colors which aren't spun, which allows for some really funky color play. Both yarns are 100% cotton. This piece uses a drawstring at the top closure, which is why it can do double duty as a skirt or a poncho. It measures 34" at the top opening and then flares out to 38" at the hip/shoulder, depending on how you wear it. It measures 18" in length.
