This cast iron griddle pan is a long rectangular griddle with four hinged plates that flop what you're cooking over to the griddle side of the pan in order to start another round. Great for such items as pancakes, eggs, etc,.
There are handles on each flop lid and on the ends of the griddle for easy handling. It measures 20 1/4" long by 5 3/4" wide when folded up and 12" wide when opened.
Excellent condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. The pan is well seasoned. It was bought recently at an estate sale. It has been cleaned to remove dust and grime from sitting but has not been altered or restored. An unusual, and fun early cast iron pan.
The patent and the original patent is from Schofield and described in the patent application as being invented so all pancakes can be turned at once.
