Goofus Glass Peacock Design Teardrop Vintage Glass Bowl Purple Green Gold

This fabulous piece of history will surely bring joy to glass enthusiasts. The later time of production for this carnival glass is the late 1920s. The vibrant enamel design was painted on the underside of the clear glass then coated with gold paint. The paint was not fired therefore making it susceptible to paint loss on the underside. This bowl is in unusually very nice condition compared to others. No chips or cracks within the glass itself. There are several small areas of paint loss underneath as seen in the photo of the bowl with backlight. I have seen similar pieces that have been Spraypainted underneath to mask the imperfection. this glass is all original. As seen in photos of the bowl on the table the few flaws underneath dont alter the beauty of the glass in most lighting. Aporox 11 in L 9 W.
