Carpenter’s look is a direct reference to an outfit seen on Fran Fine, the perennially well-dressed nanny from Flushing. You can spot it in the first season’s pilot for The Nanny, in 1993. Actor Fran Drescher analysed the look in her Life in Looks for Vogue. “It is the definitive nanny-looking costume,” Drescher said of the outfit at the time. “This is what created the style of the flashy girl from Flushing. Definitely sexy, but not trashy. It has a sweetness to it. She was a nanny, always with a little zhuzh. We would change the buttons, sometimes put on different trims, and we would definitely shorten the skirt. Just like a 90s Mary Poppins, a la Fran Drescher.”
I don't know if it's the exact same designer (Lillie Rubin) but it's definitely a very close reference. Makes a great Halloween costume or, for the fashion girls, a really fun look for a night out.

@gems_and_jules Just accepted your offer, thank you! I just want to make sure that you only wanted the top, not the hat. I accidentally included a picture of the hat, but this listing is just for the top.

@jlgray2170 Hi! Yes I'm fine with just the top! Did you ship this out yet? I need it delivered to me by Saturday for a Halloween party. I live in New York too so hopefully the delivery date shows it will be delivered before then. Since I'm local I could also pick it up in a pinch. Thank you, appreciate it!
