I am a floral designer at Wheeling Flower Shop, the top rated flower shop in the Ohio Valley. Flower cakes are one of my favorite items to create. They are made out of Oasis Foam which is soaked in water. They are completely covered in fresh cut flowers and topped with candles. They will last for at least 2 weeks. This is just something different and people love them You would be able to choose the colors you would prefer, and we will figure out a price. needlessthings These are fabulous!!! AND worth MORE than $65. Don’t under cut yourself There should be a 1 in front of the 6 ($165). Flowers, containers aren’t cheap. And neither should your time

bexmeager @needlessthings Thank you very much! I take pride in my work. I am the only designer at the shop that gets requested for Weddings and Formal Dance Bouquets. I have a 19 year old son and 17 year old Boy/Girl Twins. They can go to Walmart and start out making more than I do. That is no lie. I asked for $1raise and he told me the shop couldn't afford it. If there would be a demand for me I could quit. I love what I do, that's the only reason I Stay.

bexmeager @needlessthings I've had friends come to me for Wedding flowers and I am not supposed to make them myself. I'm supposed to have them call the shop. Of course I didn't do this. I made Flowers for Lady Gaga and Mariah Carey. Lady Gaga's grandmother lived here, she always sent her fruit baskets at Christmas. She passed away and I had to fill a wine glass with roses. It went in the casket with her.

bexmeager Mariah was performing in Pittsburgh and a girl that worked for her was in this area and ordered 2 separate vases with 2 dozen white roses in each one. Apparently she requires those in her dressing room when she is doing a performance. So I guess I am a Floral Designer to the Stars! I love what I do, but I am not happy with the way I have been treated. I'm thinking about giving 2 week notice right before Valentine's Day to see how much I am actually worth to the owner.

bexmeager Also, you have inspired me. I'm going to share that and see what happens. Thank you for being so sweet. My life is in shambles at the moment, just everything all at once and it's just too much and I don't have anyone to talk to. My husband probably tunes me out when I try to vent. He always says, "You're fine ..." Gee, Thanks I thought I wasn't ok but now you told me I am so everything is all puppies and rainbows. 😂
