@linda_sicks it definitely fits more like a medium but a small person can also wear it if they want that swing look meaning the bass swings out or you add a belt as seen in the photo I Think it would be too big on an extra small. I tend to list sizes based on their measurements and my suggestions and then I go into more detail in the description of the item. Please let me know if you have other questions
