Coach SUE Carnelian Red Orange Patent heels Size 40 (U.S. size 9?)

The Coach color is "carnelian" which is a red orange. They are real patent leather with a leather stacked heel and leather sole. These Coach shoes are BEAUTIFUL. The box and inside of the shoe is marked euro size 40. It doesn't have a U.S. size marked inside. Not sure if that translates to a U.S> size 9? Here are the measurements for you to judge for yourself: 8 7/8" from back edge of heel to tip of the toe. 3 3/8" (approximately) across the widest part of the foot They soles look like they were tried on in the store. Maybe worn once or twice?
